Loch Arthur (also known as Loch Lotus) Dumfries and Galloway, southwest of Dumfries.

The front half of an Iron-age dugout canoe originally 45ft long found in Loch Lotus (Loch Arthur) is in the National Museum. The surviving half has a carving in the shape of an animal head on the end.link
