Sister Lory Schaff, C.S.J., was a nun in the Sisters of St. Joseph. She was an educator who specialized in adult literacy education. She worked in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and New Orleans, Louisiana. Schaff, with others, established centers for adult literacy education, including Hope House, the St. Vincent de Paul Adult Learning Center, and the St. Paul Adult Learning Center.
