In base all'allestimento museale in essere nel 2023, la Sala XIII segna il passaggio dai reperti della Taranto greca a quelli successivi alla conquista romana. La vetrina espositiva delle armi fa da spartiacque tra le due sezioni. L'espansione romana in Puglia ebbe inizio alla fine del IV sec. a.C. con l'adesione di centri dauni alla federazione romana. Taranto cadde dopo scontri protrattisi tra il 282 e il 272 a.C.
English: Archaeological Museum of Taranto. According to the museum layout in place in 2023, Room XIII marks the transition from the finds of Greek Taranto to those following the Roman conquest. The exhibition showcase of weapons acts as a watershed between the two sections. The Roman expansion in Apulia began at the end of the 4th century BC with the adhesion of Daunian towns to the Roman federation. Taranto fell after fights between 282 and 272 BC.
