English: The Maurice O'Neill Memorial Bridge (or Maurice O'Neill Memorial Valentia Bridge) between Portmagee and Valentia Island in County Kerry, Ireland, was opened on 23 July 1971. The bridge is named after Maurice O'Neill, a young farmer of Cahersiveen who was executed in 1942 “in the fight for Irish freedom”.
