Category:Memorial Plaque dedicated to Perigren Tasburgh by Elis Lynch

English: Memorial plaque at the north wall of the nave of Ross Errilly Friary erected by Elis Lynch and dedicated to Perigren Tasburgh who died on 5 February 1710. The plaque has two sections. The upper section shows the marshalled coat of arms of the families Tasburgh (left side) and Lynch (right side) along with the crest of Tasburgh. The lower section has an inscription which translated into modern English reads as follows: The arms of the ancient family of Tasburgh of Tasburgh, afterwards of St Peter's Hall in the manor of South Elmham in Suffolk and now of Flixton in the said county. Argent a chevron between three pilgrim's staves, furnished with scrips and belts, sable; and for the crest above a helmet six ostriches feathers in plume argent. This monument was erected by Elis Lynch, daughter to Patrick Lynch of Lydican and wife to Perigren Tasburgh who died the 5th of February anno domini 1710. See here for the full transcription.
