The Mid-City Bayou Boogaloo is an event in New Orleans. The one day free outdoor festival has music, food and art booths, and various entertainment along and near the head of Bayou St. John in the Mid City neighborhood. The event was organized to celebrate renewal of the Mid City neighborhood which had been severely flooded by the Hurricane Katrina levee failures in 2005. The 2007 event was the second annual, held on 26 May.
