Category:Military bridging exercise photographed by Willem van de Poll

A military bridging exercise photographed by Willem van de Poll, claimed to be in the Netherlands around 1939.

Note that these photographs are dated 1939. However the vehicles included date it very clearly to D-Day, either afterwards or the preparations for it. Location is perhaps more likely to be England. The two card-playing images also include a figure carrying a Sten gun, dating it to 1941 at the earliest.

Vehicles identified include:

Loyd carriers
used as tractors for 17 pdr anti-tank guns and 6 pdr anti-tank guns
Universal carriers
Humber Scout Cars
Humber Mk IV armoured cars
M3 (or related) half-tracks
Diamond T 969 wrecker
