English: Originally built in 1889 for the Italian consulate in Jerusalem and located at 12 HaRav Kook Street, this building hosts since 2000 a Franciscan monastery belonging to the Custody of the Holy Land. It was also used as a the "Lebanon Hotel", the offices of The Jerusalem Post newspaper (then The Jerusalem Post), a boarding house for students of neighbouring Mercaz HaRav yeshiva and then a branch of the Maskit clothing chain.
עברית: בית משכית - בית הקונסול האיטלקי. בשלהי התקופה העות'מאנית שימשה כקונסוליה האיטלקית. מאוחר יותר שימש הבית בן שתי הקומות כ"בית מלון לבנון" של משפחת אייזנשטאדט , ומסוף שנות , ה-50 פנימיה של ישיבת מרכז הרב הסמוכה . לאחר מכן, משרדי העיתון "ג'רוסלם פוסט" וכיום חנות של משכית.
