English: The Mooltan was a ocean steamer, built in 1905 by J. Caird & Co., Greenock (Yard No 306) for the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company. She sunk July 26th 1917 by torpedo by the German submarine UC-27 53 miles N.N.W. (1/2?) by W from Cape Serrat. At the time of sinking, she was carrying 554 passengers and crew, but except 2, all were saved before she sank.[1][2]
