Deutsch: Das Gebäude in der Kattenstraße (Kiel-Altstadt) wurde 1768 von Baumeister Ernst Gegorg Sonnin entworfen als Kollegienhaus der Christian-Albrechts-Universität. Seit 1876 beherbergte es als Museum für vaterländische Altertümer das Nydamboot und die archäologische Sammlung, die im Zweiten Weltkrieg ausgelagert und später in der Nydamhalle des Landesmuseums Gottorf ausgestellt wurde. Im Jahr 1944 wurde das Gebäude durch Bomben zerstört.
English: The building on Kattenstrasse in the district of Kiel Altstadt was designed in 1768 by master builder Ernst Georg Sonnin as the collegienhouse (i. e. collegiate building) of the Christian Albrechts University. Since 1876, in the Museum of national antiquities has housed the Nydam boat and the archaeological collection, which was relocated during the Second World War and later exhibited in the Ndam hall of Gottorf State Museum. In 1944 the building was destroyed by bombs.
