Category:Neoclassical statues on Porta Venezia gates (Milan)

Nota: Esiste una notevole confusione sulle attribuzioni delle statue sui caselli di Porta Venezia di Milano.

Il programma iconografico come lo si legge di solito prevede infatti: 
* "Verso la campagna:
 ** Minerva e Mercurio di Benedetto Cacciatori
 ** Cerere e Vulcano di Democrito Gandolfi
* Verso la città:
 ** Abbondanza e Giustizia di Pompeo Marchesi
 ** Fedeltà e Eternità (o Longevità) di Gaetano Monti
Tuttavia alcune delle firme visibili su quattro delle statue non corrispondono al programma. 
Nel dubbio, è stata corretta la paternità delle statue firmate, mantenendo quella della altre.
Sono benvenute le correzioni.

The iconographic programme normally available lists authors as follows:
* "Towards the countryside:
 ** Minerva and Mercurio by Benedetto Cacciatori;
 ** Cerere and Vulcano by Democrito Gandolfi
* Towards the town::
 ** Wealth and Justice by Pompeo Marchesi
 ** Faithfulness and Eternity (or Longevity) by Gaetano Monti.
However, some of the four signatures that can be read beneath some statues do not match this list. 
The signed statues have therefore been given accordingly, whereas the others have been given as per programme.
