Nordyke & Marmon Co. was an enginering company founded in 1851 as Nordyke, Ham & Co., manufacturing milling machinery in Richmond, Indiana. It became Nordyke & Marmon Co. in 1866, when Daniel W. Marmon joined. After the 1870s, the company way an important mill constructor. The company moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1875. It entered automobile production in 1905. During WW1, the company manufactured Liberty aircraft engines and returned to cars after the war. In 1924, a company named Marmon Motor Car Company was installed for automobile manufacturing. Nordyke & Marmon Co. was sold to Allis-Chalmers in 1926 and ended production of flour mills,
