English: "Nosologie naturelle, ou les maladies du corps humain distribuées par familles" by Jean-Louis Alibert was printed in a large (quarto) format in three French editions. It was planned as a two volume work, but the second volume was never published. An Italian translation of the first volume was published in four smaller (12mo.) volumes as "Nosologia naturale, o malattie del corpo umano distribuite in famiglie". A total of 33 plates were engraved for this work by Salvatore Tresca. 24 of these plates appeared in vol. 1, while the remaining plates, intended for the unpublished second volume, were included at the end of the posthumously published third edition of vol. 1.
