English: Szechwan Lodge No. 112 was founded on 28 January 1936 in Chengtu, the capital of Szechwan. It was granted a charter by the Grand Lodge of the Philippines. Ten days after the creation of the Grand Lodge of China on 18 March 1949, the Lodge was transferred and re-chartered with its original name, but was re-numbered as Szechwan Lodge No. 4. Following the fall of the Mainland China to communism on 1 October 1949, the Lodge was reactivated in Taichung, Taiwan on 29 March 1957, with James David as its first Master (1957–58). It now operates in Taipei. Prior to its relocation to Taiwan, the Lodge had a close relationship with the Protestant Churches in Szechwan. In addition to having its meeting point at the West China Union University founded by Protestant missions, several masters were also missionaries.
