English: Persévérance was an four-masted steel barque built 1896 by Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée La Seyne-sur-Mer for Armement A. Dom Bordes & Sons (Dunkerque). The Barque was sunk in 1917 by the German submarine UC 63. The crew was rescued.
Her dimensions were length × beam × depth = 322.2 × 45.6 × 25.3 ft (98.2 × 13.8 × 7.7 m) and she had a tonnage of 2990 GRT and 2415 NRT. She was rigged with royal sails over double top and topgallant sails.[1][2]
