English: Festival at Inle Lake, Myanmar. A barge decorated as a mythical bird carries four of five Buddhas of Phaung Daw U monastery around the lake to all important villages and monasteries. At the end of the festival, the Buddha images return to their home monastery, and hundreds of boats und thousands of people take part of the celebrations.

Deutsch: Fest auf dem Inle-See, Myanmar. Die Königsbarke in der Form des Hintha-Vogels bringt vier der fünf Buddhas des Phaung Daw U-Klosters in alle wichtigen Dörfer und Klöster im und am See. Am letzten Tag des Festes kehren die Statuen auf ihren angestammten Platz zurück; hunderte Boote und tausende Menschen nehmen an den Feierlichkeiten teil.
