Philip Thomas Cronin (1857 - May 16, 1905) was the commissioner of Public Buildings for Queens, New York City, secretary of the Queens County Democratic Committee, coroner of Queens County, New York, and leader of New York's Fifth Assembly District. He was born in Brooklyn in 1857. He died at 5 o'clock A.M. on May 16, 1905 under ether at St. Mary's Hospital during an operation for appendicitis after returning from the Belmont racetrack.
