Category:Polissoirs in Ireland
Polissoirs or grooves are man made grooves into stone dating from the Stone Age to possibly modern times. They come in different shapes; stones with circular ones are referred to in Ireland as bullaun stones. The rain water collecting in them was often attributed healing power, especially for warts.
