English: DRN 665D is a Leyland Leopard PSU4/4R with Marshall B44F body. It was new to Ribble in 1966 and carried their fleet number 665.

DRN 665D was one of 55 Leyland Leopard PSU4/4R buses built in 1966/7 for Ribble Motor Services. The chassis was assembled at Leyland motors on 16th June 1966 and the completed bus, fitted with a Marshall 44 seat body, started passenger service in December that year.

665 spent most of its working life in the Lake District. It was withdrawn from service at Morecambe depot in 1979 and sold to Isle of Man National Transport, along with nine similar buses.

665 arrived on the Island in December 1979; it was re-registered F457 MAN and entered service with IOM National Transport as number 7, though still in NBC poppy red and white. No 7 was re-painted in all over red before being transferred to IOM Passenger Transport in April 1983. 665 had only a short time in service on the Isle of Man and was retired in December 1983.

In February 1984, the bus was sold to local 440 squadron air training corps, re-registered D440 MAN and used as cadet transport.

Another change of owner came in March 1989 when it passed to a local bus enthusiast who already owned No.6 - F809 MAN (originally ribble 671 - latterly in use with IOM Health Services board).

Acquired, with 671, by John Davis in June 1998, a very extensive restoration of 665 was undertaken. This took much longer than expected – thirteen years- as it involved making one good bus out of two, 671 being dismantled to provide parts.

On 26th April 2011, 665 successfully passed an MOT test on the Isle of Man and has since been re-registered MAN 665D. Since 2011, 665 has attended numerous events throughout the North West of England receiving a great deal of interest from both enthusiasts and every day members of the public.
