Priestley Road in Basingstoke is formed of the stub of the pre-ring road A340 linked to an east-west service road running parallel to the ring road. The industrial area served by the southern end of the road is a west pointing salient of the Popley West district council ward of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, sandwiched between the district council ward of Houndmills (south of the ring road) and the civil parish of Rooksdown (north of the shelter belt).
