The Universal Bibliographical Directory (RBU), is the major work of the International Institute of Bibliography. Since its creation in 1895, no less than 18 million bibliographic records have been compiled, classified according to the Universal Decimal Classification and stored in the file cabinets designed by Paul Otlet and Henri La Fontaine.
