English: Routemaster bus RM2186 (reg. CUV 186C) was delivered to London Transport in April 1965. It saw use in London in red livery until February 1979, when it was repainted into a dark green livery as one of the George Shillibeer Omnibus 150th anniversary buses. It regained red livery in November 1979. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of MTL London (ex-London Northern), receiving MTL all-over red livery and MTL logos. In 1999 it was sold into private hands, and used as a courtesy bus for the floating nightclub the Tuxedo Princess, moored on the south bank of the River Tyne in Newcastle. By January 2002 it had been bought for preservation. It entered The Bus Works in 2007 in still in MTL livery but rather faded [1] and emerged re-panelled and repainted into the green Shillibeer livery [2] and has appeared at many rallies and events since.
