English: Routemaster bus RML2430 (reg. JJD 430D) was delivered to London Transport in March 1966, in the dark green livery for use in the outlying 'Country Division' garages. In January 1970 it passed to the newly created London Country Bus Services when the country area was passed from London Transport to the National Bus Company, with the dark green livery retained but the cream band replaced by yellow, and with the application of yellow London Country fleetnames and logo. In November 1972 it was repainted in Garston garage, probably into NBC's lighter green livery and fleetnames. It lasted in service long enough to be one of the several London Country Routemasters bought back by London Transport, of RML, RMC and RCL class. After being bought in December 1977 it was overhauled, entering service in red Central Area livery in April 1978. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Cummins) and refurbished. It saw use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of Metroline, in time receiving their blue skirted livery. It was finally withdrawn in March 2004 when route 98 lost its Routemasters. It was immediately bought, supposedly for export to Los Angeles, but this never happened, and by 2007 it was in the hands of a private owner based in Penton Mewsey in Wiltshire. By April 2010 it had passed into the fleet of Nostalgia Travel of Oxfordshire, who operate it for private hire, painted in London red but with NOSTALGIA TRAVEL gold fleetnames in the style of the old London Transport name, albeit a little larger.
