Category:Rotunda, USNA
The Rotunda, located between the wings, borders on Tecumseh Court, where meal formations are held three times a day, and outdoor ceremonies are conducted. After attendance is taken the brigade marches up the stairs, through the center door, across the rotunda floor, and down the side stairs unto the mess hall. The uneven size of the doors identifies them in photographs. On the inside, the "Rotunda" refers to the floor space under the dome. On one side are the doors; on the other, the grand staircase to Memorial Hall. Photographers often position themselves so that the "Don't Give Up the Ship" inscription on the back wall of Memorial Hall appears to be in the door.
