English: Dogs homo- or heterozygous for the dominant A locys y allele. Also known as "clear sable" (if no black tipping) and "clear fawn" (= like fawn but without black mask). Not to be confused with ee-red, which cannot have a single black hair anywhere on it, or liver (brown, chocolate), which always have a liver nose. Sable dogs may sometimes have a shade of black intermixed in their coat and their whiskers tend to be black. Unidentified "red" dogs should be categorised under Red dogs.
