English: The church was built in 1827, and is built of cut stone. Renovation works took place in 1960 and the sanctuary was re-ordered in 1972. The oak and walnut altar was carved by C. Bull of Suffolk Street, Dublin. See John McEvoy, John Duffy: The Churches of Kildare & Leighlin 2000 A.D., ISBN 2-7468-0293-7, p. 91.
