Category:Sargent's Folly
English: Sargent's Folly was built by Lucius Manlius Sargent (1786-1867) when the land it sits on was part of his Boston estate. A folly is a non-functional structure built to enhance the esthetic value of the the property it is part of. It is now located in the Franklin Park Zoo, the only structure in the zoo which predates its founding. (Source: Historical sign on site.)
