From 2nd century AD. The sarcophagus is depicting hunting Roman soldiers in off-duty dress. The soldiers, all belted, have winged spears. Military javelins, round shield, double axes are represented on the sarcophagi’s side. A military commander, maybe a tribune, on horseback and protected by a round clipeus, is driving his men to hunt of bulls, boars and panthers.
