The Low Noise was a series of Sony's entry-level cassettes from 1968 to 1973. In the beginning they were labeled Magazine Tape ("magazine" being synonym for "cassette"); then came the Autosensor sub-range which had metallized end-of-reel markers spliced into the tape. In 1972 the Low Noise was supplanted by the HF, packaged in the same double-circle styling.
