Russian servicemen from the Central Military District exercised the search-and-evacuation of the Soyuz-TMA spacecraft in March 2017. The exercise was was held on the Uprun Air Base, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. Operational groups moved to the assigned area by helicopters and snowmobiles, and evacuated the reentry module. Rescuers practiced first aid treating and mastered international COSPAS-SARSAT search-and-rescue system. More than 200 people, including specialists from Roscosmos and FAVT, and more than 30 pieces of special hardware were involved.
