The 7th Brigade Park, Chermside, is the venue for all manner of formal and informal sport. Cricket and hockey competitions are based in the park with fixtures on weekends, with cross country running early on Saturday mornings. At other times observers may note informal games of cricket, training for several codes of football, jogging, walking, sundry ball sports, model aircraft and drone flying, exercise groups and any other sport or game that seems appropriate to local residents and visitors being played.
