Category:Starship (Burnley & Pendle)
English: Starship is a brand launched on 7 February 2008 by Transdev Burnley & Pendle for their Burnley local bus services. It coincided with the introduction of a new fleet of low-floor midibuses - nineteen 57-reg Optare Versas. The brand features a yellow and caramel livery with 'Transdev starship' fleetnames, with each Versa also carrying an individual themed message on the rear. The branding was later applied to some older low-floor midibuses too - 2 Dennis Dart Plaxton Pointers and 3 Optare Solos. The 2 pointers may have been replaced in 2012 with 2 further 12-reg Versas. In addition, the base colour scheme has also been applied to at least one step entrance double-decker, albeit minus the 'starship' name, in an apparent move to phase out the remaining examples of the standard red & cream livery.
