English: Saint John of Nepomuk statue. Along the main street of Etyek, near the Magyar Well and the protected stone bridge over the Etyek stream, on a pillar with projecting plinth and headpiece, flanked on both sides by volutes, a limestone statue in the Baroque style erected in the second half of the 18th century. Standing in slight contrapositions on a stylized cloud, the saint is in a priestly regalia, with his left hand on a cross lying on a palm branch, his right hand on the base of the cross, his gaze averted over the corpus. The front of the podest bears a fragmentary Latin chronostone bearing the name of the erector, Imre Plaier, also gives the year 1771 (nevertheless muemlekem.hu dates the work to around 1750). The statue was restored by Péter Rákos in 2001, when it was moved to its current location. The halo of stars that used to surround the statue's head was no longer there in 2020. A település főutcája mentén, a Magyar-kút és az Etyeki-patakon átívelő Alcsúti úti kőhíd közelében, profilozott, kiülő lábazattal és fejezettel tagozott, kétoldalt volutákkal szegélyezett pillértörzsön a 18. század második felében emelt, barokk stílusú mészkő szobor. 1985 óta műemlék (törzsszám: 9734; azonosító: 3626). A szobor elsődlegesen a botpusztai út mentén állt, 2001-es felújítását követően került mai helyére.[1] A stilizált felhőgomolyagon kontraposztban álló szent papi ornátusban (csizma, gombsoros reverenda, csipkeszegélyű karing, almúcium, birétum), baljával mellkasára ölelt, pálmaágba ágyazott feszülettel, jobbjával a kereszt talpán, a korpusz fölött elrévedő tekintettel. A posztamens homlokoldalán az állíttató Plaier Imre nevét megörökítő, de töredékes latin nyelvű kronogramma olvasható, amely az 1771-es évszámot adja ki. A korábban a szoboralak fejét övező csillagkoszorú 2020-ban már nem volt meg. Figuramagasság: kb. 165 cm. Tájolás: D.
