English: Stoke Gifford is a large village in South Gloucestershire, England, situated south of Bradley Stoke in the northern suburbs of Bristol. It has around 11,000 residents as of the 2001 Census. It is home to Bristol Parkway station, on the London-South Wales railway line, and the Bristol offices of AXA and Hewlett Packard. Like nearby Frampton Cotterell, Stoke Gifford takes its name from the water on which the first settlement was built, the Stoke Brook, and the lords of the manor, the Giffard family. Nearby settlements which were also called 'Stoke' include Bradley Stoke, Little Stoke, Harry Stoke, Great Stoke, and Stoke Lodge.
