Deutsch: Aus dem 15. Jhd. stammende Tanzsaal an der Ecke Markt / Dänische Straße wurde aufgrund eines im Obergeschoss vorhandenen Veranstaltungstraktes so bezeichnet.
Der Gründungsvater des heutigen Kieler Weinhauses Schneekloth (Bartels-Langness), Peter Schneekloth (* 1784 Barsbek; † 1844 Kiel), kam 1815 nach Kiel und eröffnete 1816 in der Vorstadt 236 „eine Wein-, Bier- und Branntweinschänke nebst sitzenden Gästen“ am Kieler Hafe. 1821 übernahm er die damals bedeutende Gastwirtschaft Jordan mit dem dazugehörigen Tanzsaal.
Das mehrfach umgebaute Gebäude war wohl auch von 1775 bis 1871 die Hauptwache und von 1887 bis kurz vor dem Abbruch 1901 Polizeiwache.
Dort steht das denkmalgeschützte Wohn- und Geschäftshaus Nebendahl-Haus in der Dänische Straße 2-6 und Alter Markt 12.

English: The Tanzsaal (e. g. dance hall) on the corner of Market and Danish Street dates back to the 15th century and was so named because of an event wing on the upper floor.
The founder of today's Weinhaus Schneekloth (Bartels-Langness), Peter Schneekloth (* 1784 Barsbek; † 1844 Kiel), came to Kiel in 1815 and in 1816 he opened “a wine, beer and brandy tavern with seated guests” in the suburb Vorstadt 236 on the Kiel harbour. In 1821 he took over the then important Jordan inn with its dance hall.
The building, which was rebuilt several times, was probably the main station from 1775 to 1871 and the police station from 1887 until shortly before it was demolished in 1901.
The listed residential and commercial building Nebendahl-Haus is located there at Dänische Straße 2-6 and Alter Markt 12.
