English: The Tay Rail Bridge spans the River Tay between Dundee (on the north bank) and Wormit. The first bridge opened in 1878 but it collapsed the following year while a train was crossing it in a storm. 75 people were killed. The present day bridge was opened to replace it in 1887. The nearest railway station is at Dundee.
