English: Titaÿna, also known as Elisabeth Sauvy-Tisseyre, (France, 22 November 1897 - San Francisco, California, United States, 13 October 1966), French journalist and reporter for Paris-Soir, L'intransigeant, Le Petit Parisien, and Le Matin. In 1923-1939, she traveled around the world in an airplane. She wrote several novels and directed two documentaries, Promenade en Chine (1932) and Indiens, nos frères (1932). She was the elder sister of Alfred Sauvy, the founder and first director of the French School of Demography.
