The library is named after Ruth and Todd Warren from Seattle (Washington, USA), two supporters of the Ashesi Foundation which work both at the Microsoft Corporation. Todd Warren was from 2003 to 2009 vice president of mobile-communications products at this company. He retired from Microsoft in February 2009.
