English: In 1915, the Boston Elevated Railway shifted streetcar service from Dorchester Avenue to Old Colony Avenue in South Boston to allow the construction of the Dorchester Tunnel. The tracks were only used for about three years until Andrew station opened and streetcars were terminated there.
