Category:Triangular arches
English: Triangular arches are a primitive form of arch, usually found where the local stone splits naturally into flat slabs (e.g. slate). The arch is weak as it tends to both buckle under load and also the keystone is often little more than rubble fill.
A slightly more sophisticated version uses a single keystone, cut from a better grade of freestone.
