English: Tutela was the Roman goddess of guardianship and protection. She was a popular tutelary deity in southern Gaul. Often depicted wearing a mural crown symbolising her protection over a particular city. Tutela was a Romanization of the Greek goddess Tyche and she also had particular applications in Roman law.
