Category:University of Queensland, George Street campus

From 1909 until the 1950s, the University of Queensland was located at George Street in the Brisbane CBD (now the Gardens Point campus of the Queensland University of Technology). Construction of the present main campus of the University of Queensland at St Lucia commenced in the late 1930s but was interrupted by World War 2. In the 1940s and 1950s, students often had to attend both campuses until the university finally relocated to the St Lucia campus.
