This was built in 1904 as a chapel for the Peculiar People (known from 1956 as the Union of Evangelical Churches), a small Evangelical group based in Essex, and was formally registered in October 1906. It was known for many years as Wallis Avenue Chapel but is now the Church on the Rock.
