William Hahn (German: Carl Wilhelm Hahn) was an German-American painter. He was born in Hesse, Germany and studied in Dresden and Düsseldorf where he became a friend to the California painter William Keith. In 1869 he followed Keith to Boston and later to San Francisco where they shared a studio. By 1876, Hahn was Director of the San Francisco Art Association.
