According to uglybridges.com, this bridge was built in 2003; it apparently replaced an 1878 bowstring truss bridge, listed in the National Register of Historic Places. When this site was photographed in June 2013, there was no sign of another bridge upstream or downstream from the 2003 beam bridge, so the older bridge was presumably removed rather than bypassed.
