OrganizationEdit

This category seems like it could use organization into subcategories. I'd like to establish a consensus before forging into such a big project. Does anyone else out there have ideas? I was thinking: CCC people, CCC projects, CCC historical images. Do we need CCC by state? -McGhiever (talk) 04:00, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

What's "historical images"? Just during the time the CCC was actually active?
Yes, people vs. projects (and probably also, within projects, buildings should be singled out) is a good idea. "By state": might be worth doing for the states where we have a lot of images. - Jmabel ! talk 04:56, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
Actually, I should have looked at Category:Works Progress Administration for ideas. How about:
  • Category:Civilian Conservation Corps (for top-level stuff, like the historical images)
  • Category:Parks by the Civilian Conservation Corps (for any CCC-developed parks with their own categories, since the individual pictures may or may not show any particular CCC work)
  • Category:Structures by the Civilian Conservation Corps (more general than "buildings", to include dams and bridges and such)
  • Category:Civilian Conservation Corps camps

  • Seems reasonable to me. - Jmabel ! talk 04:37, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

CCC in Rocky Mountain National Park / ColoradoEdit

McGhiever or anyone that might be able to help out,

Here's a restatement of my question

There is Category:Files from RockyNPS Flickr stream of records that seem to be documentation of improvements made to the Rocky Mountain National Park in the 1930s and early 1940s, some of them clearly CCC/ECW workers, but none of them were included in the Category:Rocky Mountain National Park, or any of its subcategories.

I created two new categories

Question for you

Can you help me out with whether the images from the second category are CCC images? It seems that the files are of images taken within the 1933 to 1942 timeframe?

It doesn't say it's CCC, but a lot of the images have white with typed descriptions. I wonder if some or all of these with the white strips over the image are CCC. Do you know? If not, we can just leave the records in the "Improvements" subcategory.
