Please stop removing from LGBT category

edit

Wikipedia includes asexuality in LGBT topics and the LGBT portal. Sources confirming membership of asexuals in the community include Galop, the Trevor project, GLAAD, and other prominent LGBTQ+-related organizations.

The extended acronym often goes LGBTQIAPN+, sometimes with further additions. The LGBT page includes identities later in the acronym, such as pansexuality, nonbinary genders, and queer (not just the first 4 letters). Removing only asexuality doesn't make sense for the category and is contradicted by statements from major LGBTQ+ organizations.

I'm guessing that this information was not known to the editor who made these changes, in which case I'm glad you learned something new today. But if not, then please keep in mind that Wikimedia Commons categories are not a place to make statements about personal beliefs, especially when these beliefs don't match the broader community.
