I cannot see how a 4-year tenancy of the pastorship of Park Street Church qualifies the good reverend to be from Massachusetts. After being born and bred in Watervliet, he moved to Georgia, rising to the presidency of a college there. For whatever reason, he became unemployed. Deciding not to remain a southern man, he accepted the pastorship at Park Street, but he was not long there, either. After Park Street he went to Pennsylvania, where he remained.Botteville (talk) 13:56, 7 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
