Category talk:License migration needs review

I have a question about images like File:2005_Shayana_D_Kadidal_Lynne_Stewart.jpg where the original states the content is GFDL, and links to version 1.2, but does not include the phrasing "or any later version". Am I correct in reading the GFDL's terms that without this phrasing it is presumed to NOT include future versions? -Nard the Bard 01:05, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

For the sake of future users who will see this, yes, it would only include 1.2 only, which is not eligible for relicensing. If it's GFDL 1.2 and later, it should be explicit. pandakekok9 02:34, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
