Rationale for a separate category

The idea behind the creation of a separate category was that there are two distinct types of objects:

• signs - typycally look like tables affixed to walls or poles and tell you where (distance and direction) to find a pipeline or a cable; examples: 1, 2, 3
• markers - typycally look like small posts on the ground and tell you that a pipeline or a cable is directly below; examples: 1, 2, 3
